62 year old me!

Before we begin, it’s important to know just what aging gracefully means.

Here’s the first Google definition: Aging gracefully involves accepting the physical and emotional changes that come with getting older, rather than resisting or fearing them.

Did you catch those words, accepting — rather than resisting?

So this is what I take this to mean. Here’s Iva’s definition:

“I’m getting old so I may as well just let aging do its job while I sit back and do nothing but accept this fate.”

I don’t know about you, but that sounds horrible. I’m not going down without a fight. I’m not accepting — I’m resisting.

And in talking to other women my age (60 and over), they ain’t going down without a fight either!

Ok look. I accept I’m getting older. That part, sure. I agree with. But the Google definition sounds like I should just accept it and leave well enough alone. Let nature do its thing. No thanx!

Here are 9 things we’re doing instead of this aging gracefully nonsense.

Aging gracefully is BS — what we’re doing…
