United Airlines Has Sucked the Life Out of My Soul
What was supposed to be a 12-hour flight home turned into a 3-day nightmare.
Let me begin by saying I love traveling, and I especially love flying. Really, I do. I love everything from booking the flight right down to my final destination.
The crowds don’t bother me, and the long line-ups barely faze me. Heck, I don’t even mind that airport food is expensive. I always feel grateful and blessed that I can still travel; my lifestyle allows me to, and my writing earnings make it happen.
Truly, I feel blessed.
But after this last travel nightmare, it will be a while before I fly anywhere again for the simple fact that I’m scarred, pissed off, and need a break.
Where it all begins
I’ll do my best not to make it this long.
My scheduled itinerary was to leave Sudbury at 10:45 A.M. Saturday morning and arrive in Guatemala City at 9:45 P.M. that same day. That never happened.
Saturday morning — flight back home to Guatemala from Sudbury. I have 2 layovers. One in Toronto, the other in Newark. I never made it to Newark.
