The F-Word We Need to Retire
Why does it even still exist?
Out of all the F words I know, failure is the one that drives me bat shit crazy. Why does it even exist?
Did you think I was going to say the word Fuck? 😂
The same goes for the word coincidence. There’s no such thing!
Why doesn’t Webster understand that? Who came up with these words anyway?
That was my mini rant. I understand why the word failure exists.
Failure: Breaks fail, hearts/kidneys/body parts fail, you fail a test, etc. I get that. Things do fail.
I’m not so convinced about the word coincidence though.
Coincidence: I don’t really believe in coincidences.
So things fail. We understand that. But people? No no no. We never fail, yet we still use this word to describe the result of something we’ve done.
I often hear this word from people explaining their situation, whether it be work or home life, and I cringe every single time.
