My Ambitious Plan to Hit $5000 a Month

Some of this spaghetti has to stick to the walls.

I recently wrote an article about how Google has crushed all the hopes and dreams (and livelihoods) of bloggers around the world. I’ll drop the link to that in a minute, but since this has happened, we’ve all had to pivot fast.

Sadly, many bloggers sold their websites and found ‘real’ jobs. You know, like the 9–5'ers. Bleh. My heart hurts for them.

So, after this happened, I’ve had my thinking cap on trying to formulate a plan. I think I’ve come up with a fairly decent one. We’ll see.

But I want to start with a fun little back story about how I went from being a 6 figure blogger to now being $1 away from selling tortillas on the streets of Guatemala.

My tale of woe

My site was doing really well on its own. I had reached 285K monthly website visits and was making pretty decent money with ad revenue.

I also belonged to a mastermind group of highly successful bloggers and learned a lot! With this group, I also got my site on MSN. That’s when the real money started rolling in.
