Moving On is the Hardest Decision You’ll Ever Make
Some of the things we hold on to the tightest are the things we need to let go of.
I really love this quote. It’s one of those that make you stop and think. Really think. Long and hard about your life, the people in your life, the things in your life, and all that no longer needs to be or should be in your life.
But cutting cords or letting go of things we know shouldn’t be in our lives is hard. Really fucking hard.
To be clear, I’m not only talking about relationships here though, yes, ending a relationship and moving on is probably one of the hardest things in life to do.
Unless your partner was an asshole. Anyway…
I’m talking about everything that you’ve been hanging on to so tightly. Everything that you’ve been afraid to let go of, even though you know you need to and have to.
People, cities, jobs, family relationships, bad habits. Those things.
It all started like this…
I don’t know whether or not you’ll need tissues for this. I doubt it unless you're super fucking sensitive like yours truly. 🙋♀️
About 10 years ago or so I created a Feng Shui website (random useless thing about Iva #293 — I’m a Feng Shui Practitioner). I still do practice it but more just in my own space.
Anyway, I had this Feng Shui website and desperately tried to market and promote my services to anyone who would listen.
That didn’t do so well. No one cared, understood, or listened.
Then my life went to hell in a handbasket and it just went from bad to worse. Because of this, I turned this useless Feng Shui website into a personal development/personal blog to journal my trials, hardships, and challenges.
As I grew through each challenge, I would blog about it. Over time, this site turned into a pretty decent self-help site and I started growing. Slow but sure.
