Life
Let Them Go
This is how you grow
You’d think that by the age of 60, you’d have it all figured out. Life, work, family, friendships. Fact is, you don’t. Well, I don’t.
Life is hard and constantly changing. It can be hard to understand why things happen the way they do. It’s hard to keep up with the constant changes.
It’s just hard.
Friendships come and go. That’s hard, too. People you thought would be in your life forever, never stay.
We give our hearts and souls to them, trusting them with our deep secrets, our vulnerabilities, and our everything.
And they leave.
They leave you wondering why. Where did I go wrong? Why is this happening?
They leave you with a hole in your heart that you desperately want filled.
You search for the next person to fill that void, only for them to leave after a while, too.
It’s a vicious cycle. And then, one day, you understand why it happens.
Until we heal the demons in our own souls, we will continue to attract souls that match the darkness in our own souls.
