I’m That Old Person I Laughed at 50 Years Ago
It’s all because of the guy at the gym.
I’ve been dealing with some health issues this past month. I guess this is old age. Who knows. I like to go to the gym, but because of said health issues, I can’t always make it.
Stupid aging.
Finally, after one month, I was able to return. Our gym is small, our town is small. The trainer at the gym noticed my absence.
Trainer: “Iva, what happened?”.
Oh, by the way, this whole conversation was in Spanish. I live in Guatemala. I’ll spare you my horrible attempt at Spanish and let you know how the convo went down in English.
Me: “Ooph, I’ve been sick. So much pain.”
Trainer: “Well, what’s wrong? Tell me.”
Me. “My back, my spine, my whole body is falling apart..haha”
Trainer: “What did you do to your back?”
Me: “You know I’m getting old, and problems start happening to you.”
Trainer: “Awe, but you’re still beautiful”.
There it is. You’re still beautiful.
This is something you say to old people to put their minds at ease.
