How I Made $300 on One Story
And how you probably won’t.
We’re almost at $300 on one story. Time to celebrate!
I need to be upfront and honest about this story. I put very little thought into it. I wrote completely off the cuff. I felt little to no inspiration and just needed to get something up on Medium.
My early days of Medium
I found Medium and just started writing about the shitty life I lived and threw in a few motivational stories. I wanted people to know who was behind all the painful words.
I also tried my hand at some lighter topics too. I wrote a few light-hearted humorous stories (or at least I thought they were) and hit publish. I didn’t think anything of them.
I had a hard time coming up with things to write about every day. I belonged to a Medium group where people were raking in the cash monthly by writing daily, sometimes 3 times a day, and I thought well if they can do it so can I.
I was wrong. I couldn’t do it and it was exhausting.
