At What Age Do They Classify You as a Creepy Old Lady?

Aging is weird, fun, confusing, and frustrating. It’s mostly weird, though. I often still think I’m in my 30s or 40s, but the wrinkles on my face and the crepey skin on my body tell me otherwise.

That’s cool. I guess. Or not.

I haven’t been able to mentally catch up to my aging parts. I don’t think of myself as a 62-year-old woman because that just makes me sad. So, I remain as youthful as I possibly can.

The problem with that is this: I’m the only one who thinks I’m still 30. And then there’s the bigger problem.

The creep factor

Before I go down this rabbit hole, it’s important to know two things:

  1. I live in Guatemala, and
  2. It’s very common for older men and women to date younger women and men.

So, while the age difference thing is totally not creepy here—actually, it’s the norm—I still question whether I’M the creepy old lady.
