On buying a one way ticket and being scared shitless
You read the title right. It’s not clickbait, it’s the truth. She probably wouldn’t like it if she knew I was calling her a psychic. More like an intuitive? I don’t know. Anyway I needed to leave my country and this lady told me where to go.
Truth be told, she is a tea leaf reader. Not sure what that is? Neither am I. Google it.
I was reading a really good article written by one of my favourite writers here P.G. Barnett. He wrote about him and his wife buying a one way ticket and jetting off somewhere and then…well just read his article. It’s really good.
But it really got me thinking about something, other than writing an article about the same topic (is that allowed these days?..🤣🤣). It got me thinking about how many people would LOVE to buy a one way ticket and disappear in a totally new world and new life…
But they don’t…
I was one of those people
I used to be like that.
- I dreamt of winters in warm locales where it never fucking snowed.
- I dreamt of never having to wear mitts, scarves, hats or insulated thermal boots ever again.
