When I made the giant scary leap and decided I wanted to be a solopreneur I was sure I knew what I was getting myself into. I mean, I read enough blogs that told me how to do it and what tools I needed. I found a nice small group of online gurus who I admired.

I was good. I got this shit.

My online income was steady and had reached a nice level so that I could easily support and sustain my lifestyle. I said good bye to my online clients and away I went. I was on my own. I was confident.

I had a successful website and a super successful accompanying Facebook page. Seriously. I was good to go.

And then this happened

While I was riding high on my income success the unthinkable happened. Two of my income sources took a nose dive. A really big hit. I was stunned. How could this have happened? But the bigger question was “why is this happening?” I was sure I was secure in this.

This hit took a long time to recover from and required me to work my ass off hard for the next 6 months to build it back up again. I also had to borrow money to stay afloat.

It all sucked. A lot.
