Growing up in the '70s and '80s was an amazing and fun time. It was a time before social media, technology (advanced), and so much more. It was a time when you felt free, and the only worries you had were getting home before curfew and if that cute boy was going to ask you on a date.

How I miss those days. Life was easy then.

We were carefree and free-spirited. This new generation, Gen Z, I believe they’re called, will never understand what living really was. I mean, really living and feeling alive!

Anyway, let’s get on with it.

🟡 Our stupidity never ending up on social media

People take pictures and videos of everything these days and not all is good. Some of the shit that gets posted is beyond ridiculous and embarrassing.

We never had to worry about any physical evidence lingering on for years. Phew!

🟡 Our TVs being stolen

Do you remember the size of TVs back then? They weighed a thousand pounds. No one was sneaking into your house at 2 a.m. to steal your RCA television. Ever.

🟡 Losing our phones

Our phones were attached to a wall, with screws and a long ass cord. It didn’t fit in your pocket or your purse, and you never had to worry about losing it.

🟡 Buying bottled water

When did this bottled water thing become a thing, anyway? Back then, you drank from the tap, public water fountains, or the garden hose. You had an endless supply of water and could drink from just about anywhere you happened to be.

🟡 Germs/Viruses

We didn’t have to wear masks and sanitize our hands every single time we touched something. If you got sick, mom had a cure, and it was usually chicken noodle soup or Vick’s Vapo Rub. Those cured…
